    If you are finding that the ferrule is tight, here is some advice.
    The ferrule must be tight to prevent loosening of the golf club later in the day.
    Depending on the manufacturer, brand, and kind of shaft, all the parallel tips are likely in the range of .385”-.378” if you measure them accurately. You may not be able to find one with a measurement of .370” exactly. When you come across a tight ferrule during the installation process, try these tips:
    Use a rat tail file and make a few passes down the ferrule’s inside,
    Soak the ferrules in hot water for 5-10 seconds while you prepare to build the club,
    Dip the tip of the shaft in acetone,
    Use a cotton ball dipped in acetone to wipe the inside of the ferrule (try not to get it on the outside of the ferrule),
    Do not take drill bits to bore the ferrule; this will most likely lead to screw-ups.
