Description
1960s Copper Printing Plate for a Coca-Cola Advertisement, Mounted for Display. This printing plate is for a Coca-Cola advertisement fromthe 1960s. It features a reverse imageof two teen-age girls listening to their favorite singers on phonograph records. It appears to be made of copper on a lead base and it is bowed to fit on the drum of a printing press. It has been mounted on an oak plaque that hangs easily on the wall.
The reverse lettering at the top says:
When you want -- a cheerful lift... a great taste... extra enjoyment -- THE GOOD TASTE OF COKE IS FOR YOU!
Have Coke waiting when you want it!
At the bottom it reads:
There's nothing in this big wide world like the brilliant flavor -- the "comeback" lift -- the real
satisfaction
you enjoy from Coca-Cola.
No wonder more than 58 million times a day some lucky person has a Coke.
Why don't you have a Coke -- right now!
The printing plate was mounted and given as a gift in 1993.
An inscription on the back says:
To Frank from Bill, Thank you for the friendship. BVD11-93.
It is clean, bright and ready to display.
The copper and lead printing plate measures 5-1/2" by 7-1/2".
The wooden plaque is 7-1/4" by 9-1/4" and overall it is 1" deep, including the bow of the printing plate.
An unusual and one-of-a-kind addition to any Coca-Cola or advertising collection.
