  • Condition: Amazing condition for its age. The chrome is in excellent condition and the aluminum shell is very clean. There is one panel that has some scratches and a small dent. The Aquarian heads are in very good shape and make the drum sound awesome especially for recording. Snare strainer and muffler work perfectly.

    1965 Ludwig Acrolite 5"x14" Snare Drum
    Keystone Badge
    This is an amazing drum for recording or playing live.  The Aquarian heads
    make it ideal for being miked up.  If you want more ring replace the top head
    with a coated Ambassador or whatever is your go to head.  I use these on all
    my Ludwig snares.
    It is very clean, check out the pictures and compare it to any other snare drum
    from the 1960's.  There is one panel that has a dent and a couple non-trival scratches.
    Look at the last picture to see that.  The chrome hardware is all really clean.  Along
    with it's big brother the Ludwig Supraphonic this is one of the most recorded snare drums
    in the rock era.  This one is particulary nice.
    The Keystone badge is in great shape but it is a little loose on the shell.  I will leave it to
    the buyer to fix that to their satisfaction.
