Vintage midcentury period green majolica glazed art pottery toad figurines, possibly made for garden decoration though I cannot speak to whether they are weatherproof. The larger toad has greenish-turquoise spattering added to the emerald green glaze. Their black eyes are painted on. Very good condition with no chips or cracks; minor surface wear and soil only, and the smaller toad has even crazing all over. Not marked or signed; both were probably made by the same pottery. Larger measures 5 1/2" long x 3 3/4" wide, smaller measures 4 1/2" long x 3" wide. These seem to be scarce.
