You are bidding on a 1979-80 Ludwig 14 Inch x 7 Classic Maple Snare Drum, Original, and in Very Good Condition

The 7-ply drum is in very good condition.  The natural maple finish has a few scratches little scuffs, and some light to medium crazing and discoloration(pic 3), which are usual Thermogloss drums of this age.  Everything is original down to the original tension rods, and brass washers.  Drum is Chicago era, with the black p-85 throwoff, and P-32 butt(has nice screws), and rounded corner Blue Olive Badge serial 2005869 dating the drum to late very late 70's to very early 80's.  The original decal from The Drum Shop in Edmonton, give the drum some provenance.  I added some NOS Ludwig drum heads, snare wire, I had on hand, so the drum is 100% Ludwig.  I also properly detailed the drum, everything off, carefully cleaned, chrome/metal gently hand polished, then back on, light Pledge wax to seal in the goodness.  The shell is in round, bearing edges great, muffler works well, no badge tampering
.  This is a rare size being 7 inches deep, and hard to find without the Buddy Rich P-87 gut wire strainer system.  The drum has more body, than a 6.5", and is less boxy sounding than an 8" Coliseum snare.  It has that warm Ludwig Classic Maple sound.  I would keep this drum for myself, but I already have a nice Classic Maple snare drum.
