A refined blend of maple and poplar
Seven thin plies of maple and poplar equip the A&F Maple Club Deco Gold snare drum with enveloping warmth and a nice studio-ready dryness. Maple's balance and cut come across in full effect in this snare, buttressed by a warm, woody punch and reduced carry weight of the poplar additions. Single-flanged hoops and rounded-outer bearing edges further warm and dry out the tone of this snare. In addition, you've got low-mass nickel-over-brass hardware to maximize shell harmonics, resulting in a gorgeous, open tone that sounds smashing from either side of the kit.
