Antique Travel Grooming set BAKELITE & CELLULOID in SHAGREEN CASE ***Rare Find**. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This is a Rare estate Find, found packed away in an old trunk and fresh to market. To be honest I don't know where in the world you would find another travel set like this. All 9 pieces are made of early Bakelite and the two storage cases have a tinted green celluloid body which would have matched the bakelite lids at one time.  Bakelite overtime changes color. It was hard to capture in these pictures, but bakelite was a marbled green but now has a butterscotch / amber color bleeding into the edges. Please supersize pictures to see this. Brush is boar bristle, the hand mirror has a pivoting handle allowing it to lie flat or stand up. In addition there are 2 storage boxes. A shoe horn, nail file and lastly a hand decorated comb. No breaks, hairlines, chips, etc. Case shows wear to the inside green silk lining and to the brace holding comb in place.
