Ceramic Frog Toad Japanese Hirado-Style Figurine Amphibian
5 ½” long and 3” wide and stands 3” tall.
The figurine is hollow. It has an escape hole on the rear of the toad which is a manufacturing technique of Hirado figurines. The reason for the hole is to allow gases and heat to escape during the firing in wooden kilns to prevent the porcelain from cracking. In very good condition with no damage or repairs.
