This is a set  of 2 Dean's Rag Book Co. Artist Showcase Bears JANET and JOHN. Designed by bear artist Jo Greeno, Janet and John are a limited edition of 1500 pieces each. Janet is No. 205 and John is No. 307. They are 17 inches tall. Jointed arms and neck, but the legs are not jointed. They are meant to sit, not stand unless you use a doll stand.
John is a long pile gold mohair and is dressed in 1950s schoolboy-style with felt shorts and a knit cardigan, felt shoes with long stockings.
Janet is a long pile rust mohair and is also in 1950s schoolgirl-style with felt dress, shoes and stockinette socks.
Mint with tags, they have never been owned. From the bear shop I owned, so put away, never exposed to smoke, perfume, scent of any kind.
From the United Kingdom. Both are hand-signed by Artist Jo Greeno and Neil Miller, Managing Director of Dean's.
