Hi -- I recently purchased this beautiful snare drum on eBay as a New/Open Box item; it came with its inner and outer factory boxes, tuning key and Gretsch paperwork.  It was readily apparent that this is a brand new drum that had never been played.  It also came with two extra Remo/Gretsch snare heads, one a Controlled Sound and the other an Ambassador.
Unfortunately, upon arrival, I found that the internal tone control arm was bent; Gretsch immediately sent a replacement tone control mechanism, which I had professionally installed at a local music shop.  I also found that the Gretsch Lightning snare throw-off mechanism was a bit noisier than I liked, and Gretsch promptly sent a replacement mechanism.  The replacement throw-off is pictured, and has
not
been installed.
Although I've been tempted, I haven't touched the drum with a drumstick, so it is in mint/never played condition with no visible scratches, blemishes or other issues.  The black metallic satin finish and tube lugs make this one gorgeous snare drum!
This drum currently retails for 9 new.  I'm asking 5, plus shipping, including the two extra heads.  (Pictured snare stand not included; shipping to continental U.S. only.)
