Up for auction is a used, fair condition Ludwig 5"x14" acrolite aluminum snare drum.  NO RESERVE.
As shown in the photos, the drum has obvious scuffs and scratches on the shell and hardware as well as some pitting on the P-85. The 8 lug top and bottom triple flanged rims are chrome over steel.  The butt plate, throw off and 20 strand wire strainer are all original Ludwig components with the Ludwig logo on them.
The drum has a round internal tone control felt pad with an external chrome plated knurled knob for adjusting the tone control.  The drum shows obvious wear and screw rust on the tension rods.
The top batter head is a new Remo coated white Ambassador and the bottom head is a new clear Remo Ambassador.
This drum was in a school system and was in need of some TLC when we got it in.   The outside was roughed up a bit with scratches and gouge marks in the shell from previous use but the drum sounds excellent and everything on the drum functions. However, when we received the drum in, the badge was missing--there is no blue and olive 70's badge on this drum.
This drum is a player's drum and would be an excellent addition to a studio situation!
