    Description

    This auction is for a Ludwig Acrolite 5" x 14"  snare drum,  which some refer to as a "Blacrolite"  which is  used, but in very fine shape.   This is the modern / current version of the trusty Ludwig Acrolite snare drum.   There are 8 lugs and a muffler on this snare. The batter head is a Ludwig coated head with wear and some small dents. These heads tend to work and sound good on this snare, so I am leaving it on.   The snare side head is a Ludwig Resonant clear.  The snare side head is  in excellent used shape  It  works fine.  Both heads are decent .   This drum is in excellent  condition and has no issues with it.  The finish on this drum is also referred to as Black Galaxy.
    This drum has a sort of black sparkle finish which simply looks very nice.  The serial number on the black and white Ludwig badge is #6294068.  The badge is tight to the shell and has not been damaged or removed from the shell.  The Ludwig P 85 throw off works just as it is supposed to.   The muffler also works just as it should.  The snare wires are a 20 strand set of Ludwig   wires.  They are attached with plastic straps. This particular model of Ludwig snare drum is no longer made by Ludwig.
    This drum is used and there are small signs of use and wear, but overall very nice.   It is clean and tuned up   ready to play and  use.  The hoops are  triple flanged Ludwig and are in very nice and clean condition .    The tension rods have the white plastic   washers and are all matched and original to the drum.  All the threads  on this drum work perfectly and there are no issues, with the condition of this drum.
