You are bidding on a used Pearl Jupiter Snare Drum that is in Overall Good Used Working Condition, but it is being sold For Restoration, and As-Is because it will need minor restoration if you choose to do it.
Here are the details:
The drum is 14x5 with a Chrome over Brass Shell and a Parallel Throw Off. The drum works and plays fine, as it is right now. The drum was bought new in 1973. It was Made in Japan. There are no dings or dents on the drum. It will need a cleaning, as per the “Restoration” part. It is dusty in places and will need to be cleaned. There is no rust or pitting on the chrome. It has 10 lugs. There is a sticker with the address of the original owner of the drum, who played with big band legend Si Zentner. There are two holes that have been drilled into the shell on the right side of the butt ( I don’t know why), that don’t affect the working of the drum (see picture). There is discoloration on the inside near the butt, and also two holes where a different butt was attached to the drum at one time. The throw off and muffler work fine with no issues. The top head is a Remo White Coated Ambassador in good used condition. The bottom head is a Clear Yamaha head in good used condition. You do not need to change the heads at this time, but you can if you want. That is up to your preference. This is a heavy drum. Please feel free to ask any questions before buying. Thanks.
