    Description

    This is a very rare original vintage 1920's Ludwig & Ludwig All Gold Model snare drum. The snare drum measures 5" x 15", and has 6 lugs. The 6 lugs indicate that this was a very early L & L drum. According tThe Curotto Collection book of rare and vintage snare drums, there are less than a dozen all gold snares known. This is the only 1920's  Ludwig & Ludwig 5" x 15" size All Gold Snare known to exist. The condition of this rare snare is very good, with most of the gold still showing. 3 of the clips for the lugs are brass and not original, and I'm not sure if the snare wires are either. On the top hoop is engraved Ludwig & Ludwig Chicago. This fantastic super rare and original 1920's Ludwig & Ludwig ALL GOLD MODEL 5x15 snare drum would make a great addition to any vintage drum collection!
