SAMMELWERK VINTAGE 1930's HITLER SERIES GERMAN CIGARETTE PHOTO CARDS - LOT OF 5. Condition is "Used". Sold "AS IS". Some minor corner issues, yellowing.  Each card is in a protective plastic jacket.
5 Cigarette collecting cards, Adolf Hitler - Pictures of the Life of the Führer, from about 1936. The cards feature a black and white photograph in thin card stock (like magazine paper) of Hitler chatting with a Hitler Youth group visiting the Berghof, Hitler on a plane, Hitler at a social gathering, Hitler with a dignitary on a balcony, Hitler hugging small child. Cigarette cards were a popular, collectible item in Germany beginning about 1920. The increasing popularity of the Nazi Party at the time made them a desirable subject for a collectible card series in Germany. The album for this series has text and photo captions on the back that tell brief stories at various points in Hitler's history from roughly his 1933 appointment as Chancellor and then Fuhrer of Germany.
