Fibes Drums to find out who Grauso and Moreno were, before they were Fibes.
You are bidding on a used 14“x5” G&M Drums ( Before they started Fibes!) Fibreglass with Chrome Plating snare drum, that is in Overall “Good” used condition for its age. You will probably never see another of these drums. This was a “Special Order” from G&M Drums, before they became the Fibes Drum Company. The original Fibes company was founded by Bob Grauso and John Morena, hence G&M Drum Company.  It was Custom Made for John Emerick, Jr. by G&M Drums (see Badge). It has a standard Ludwig Throw Off. It has 8 Ludwig lugs. I don’t know what hoops are on it. The drum shows normal use for a drum this age, with minor dings and dents, but no major issues. It shows honest wear. There is minor rusting on some of the tuning screws and in other spots, but not too bad (see pictures). The top bearing edge is fine, but the bottom bearing edge is not perfect (see picture). Again, this was a Prototype and/or a “Special Order”,  and a Working drum, not a museum piece.  The bottom head is a Clear Ludwig in “fair” but usable condition. The top head is a white Remo Ambassador in good used condition, and it doesn’t need to be changed at this time. You can change the drum heads if you want to, that is up to your preference. The sale also includes a "Vintage" Ludwig snare bag, that is in good working condition for its age, with normal signs of use, like nicks, etc. The zipper works fine. As with all “Vintage Gear”, most of this stuff will need to be cleaned and serviced to get it up to your personal standards. Please feel free to ask any questions before buying. Thanks.
