    Description

Mexico two notes from the 1913-1916 Revolution.  Both the same.
    1. Note issued by the Bank of Peninsular, Mexico.
Merida, Nov 30, 1913 One peso. Woman left, sailing ship right. 153 x 70 mm tear at top.
These come from a very complex time in Mexican history when there were many armies vying for control.
Many issued their own money and forced the civilians to take their money which became worthless when they moved on or another army moved in.
What a story these notes could tell if they could talk.
    2. Same issue but three patches on back where note was torn along folds.
