This is an original
Ludwig
8 nut Rocker Snare
, serial # 818241. It’s an early USA 80’s based on Ludwig’s
serial number table. A Ludwig “Black/White” label Chrome ‘Rocker’
Condition:
The drum has not been modified
or altered in any way. The drum is a late 80’s ‘Black & White’ “Rocker-Elite”
vintage with original Ludwig heads. It was purchased from a San Francisco Bay
area rock band a few years back. The drum chrome casing does have some very
minor wear, and the heads have minor impact dents from use “Patina” which we
look for in candidates when building these, that give it unique character. It
plays very well, as a Ludwig should. This unit looks in particularly good shape
for its age.
We rate this unit on a 0 to
10 scale, 0 = destroyed beyond repair, 10 = brand new sealed in original box.
This nearly 40-year-old unit is rated a solid 8.
