    Description

    The Ludwig Pioneer is a beautiful, funky snare drum. Its thin mah0gany-poplar-mah0gany shell and brass hoops promote resonance. I like it best in medium tunings but it does very well high and low as well. Check out Carter McLean playing it on YouTube!
    This drum is incredible. I'd keep it but I have too many. I waxed the bearing edges and wrap, polished the hardware, and lubricated the tension rods, muffler, and strainer. It has Remo Ambassador heads and 20-strand snare wires in good shape.
