Vintage Sessions Co. Clock Dial with Pepsi Cola Advertising For Display / Repair
Up for bid and for your consideration is a vintage Sessions Co. clock dial with Pepsi Cola advertising for display, repair or repurpose.
This clock would make an interesting addition to any Pepsi or soft drink advertising collection or a finishing touch to your vintage decor!
Here are the details:
This clock is 4-3/8 inches in diameter and about 2-3/8 inches deep.
The dial is matte silver with black roman numerals. There is a Pepsi Cola bottle cap art in the center part of the dial.
There also appears to be a coating over the entire dial which has yellowed with age, which is giving the dial a gold appearance. This looks like it is a varnish or clear coat that was applied. I would not try to remove it for fear of damaging the Pepsi art or the numbers.
A brass bezel holds the crystal to the dial. It looks like it would polish up nicely, but the patina looks better with the dial.
The crystal is glass and is in good condition except for a semi-circular scratch near the center.
Along with the Pepsi advertising, the dial is marked "Clock Movement By Sessions * Made in U.S.A." along the bottom rim..
The hands are missing.
It has a partial movement on the back, but I think it would be a perfect candidate for a quartz movement. There is also no case.
