Description
These full length lugs are capable of a wide range of tuning, from low and flabby all the way to high tension extremes without placing undue stress on the shell. Original Tama "PC" high pressure die cast hoops with no missing chunks of chrome (as is usually the case). These drums had a habit of going out-of-tune during a gig but that has been solved.
I added brass machine thread nuts to the batter head tuning rods to "lock-in" your desired tuning. These nuts could be removed to return the drum to it's original form but... you will love the fact that with a very light snug of the wrench (USA Snap On 7/16 Stubby included) the tuning will never change! Ever! No matter how hard you crack the rim!
I played this drum for a decade all over Colorado on a wide variety of live stages, and every sound guy said the same thing "what the F*#^ is that CANNON!" and "please go easy on the rim shots"

As you can hear/see, it is capable of both soft touch playing with good tone, and will project a mighty/woody crack when a rim shot is applied. The cross-stick tone has a narrow sweet spot which takes a little getting used to, but the result is like bacon to your ears. Yummy!
More about this drum... the bearing edges have been de-burred of the usual microscopic lacquer defects using 2000 grit paper, buffed, polished and waxed on 3 separate occasions. No ply separation anywhere, original muffler works slick, no oxidation on the internal hardware. Full length snare wires acquired from a Pearl full-floating system and match up perfectly to the strainer and bed. Strainer is likewise, butter smooth.
This will be properly packed with double the normal effort so as to arrive safely.
Thanks for looking! Rock On!
