W. GERMAN WHITE CASED GLASS 3PC VANITY SET W/ PAINTED POPPY FLOWERS

Description

The set includes 3 pieces, 2 oil/perfume bottles w/ stoppers and a powder box w/ lid. The bottle have slightly different tops, with one stopper a little bigger than the other, I assume to differentiate them. I love this set!  The tag reading made in German U.S. zone and the red poppy decoration date these pieces to post WWII and was probably made in the late 1940s to early 1950s. Red poppies were a sign of remembrance for all the fallen soldiers in both of the Great Wars and are still sold by veterans  for charity on Memorial Day, here in the US.  The bottles are approximately 3” in diameter and have a height of 5”. The powder box is approximately 4 1/4” in diameter and has a height of 3 1/2”.  There is a small chip on the inside rim of the powder box lid, as well as a couple tiny flea bites and the is a tiny bit of missing cased color on the inside of the neck of one bottle. I believe this was missed during the mgf process and isn’t obvious unless inspected closely with the stopper removed. Other than the described issues, this piece is in awesome condition. The cased color is very sound with no other wear and the painted decoration is perfect. Please let me know if you want to see additional pictures.
